StarterToProcessVariableActionHandler

Description

The ActionHandler StarterToProcessVariableActionHandler adds a variable to the process. It also adds the username of the instance starter as the value.

This variable and its values are shown in the PDF report in the form area.

The default variable name is ‘starter'. However, an arbitrary name may be entered into the mandatory field. In order to assign the instance starter to a specific swimlane, the following handler may be used: 'starter’. However, an arbitrary name may be entered into the mandatory field. In order to assign the instance starter to a specific swimlane, the following handler may be used: AssignStarterToSwimlaneHandler.

 

The following variables will be generated: 

  • starter / prefix value : UserName

  • starter / prefix value + Expression (e.g. starterExpression) : user(Username)

  • starter / prefix value + Firstname (e.g. starterFirstname) : First name

  • starter / prefix value + Lastname (e.g. starterLastname) : Last name

  • starter / prefix value + Email(e.g. starterEmail) : Email address

  • starter / prefix value + Department(e.g. starterDepartment) : Department

 

For example: Standard:

  • starter:JDO

  • starterExpression:user(JDO)

  • starterFirstname:John

  • starterLastname:Doe

  • starterEmail:john@doe.com

  • starterDepartment:HR
