ICAP protocol for uploaded documents
ICAP protocol for uploaded documents
The Internet Content Adaptation Protocol (ICAP) is implemented in the product and works with Symantec Scan Engine.
Each file uploaded to the product undergoes thorough scanning using an antivirus scanner through the ICAP protocol. If a file is found to contain a virus, the upload is automatically rejected. The user is promptly notified of this in a pop-up message, signaling that the file(s) contains a virus and the upload has not been successful. This effectively safeguards the product and system from viruses.
