Inbound Emails (Administration)

Introduction

With the TIM BPM 8.0.0 the Inbound Email section is introduced.

Additionally, the Email Queue was renamed to Outbound Email and is now together with the Inbound Email section more clearly divided from the other components of the administration.

The Inbound Email section will show all emails sent to a Mailbox Connector that is correctly configured and set up on the current tenant.

Synchronisation takes place between the IMAP host and the TIM BPM Suite via a system internal timer. This timer will fetch the emails from the IMAP host.

Fetching & Processing of inbound emails

Once the timer has fetched the emails from the IMAP host another timer will process the emails. During this timer run the email will get the status Processing.

Once finished the correct status will be assigned to the email.
Processed emails will have the status Success whilst failed mails will show up with the status Error.

The timers for synchronisation and processing of the emails are configurable via the tim.properties.

By default, both timers have the value 1 which equals 1 minute.
